Homeowner Qualifications
To qualify for a home with the JCLT, applicants must meet three key requirements: you cannot have owned a home within the last three years, your household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), and you must be able to qualify for a mortgage through one of our partner lenders. Many banks offer special loan products for first-time buyers that consider flexible credit requirements — meaning even if your credit isn’t perfect, you may still be eligible.
